Judge John A. Frusciante
Judge Frusciante has served in every division of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit and currently is Chief Judge of the Dependency and Juvenile Delinquency Divisions of the Broward County Unified Family Court. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Science Degrees from the Juilliard School of Music and his Juris Doctorate from Nova Law School.
Judge Frusciante has been in private practice and was an Assistant State Attorney in the Broward County State Attorney’s Office where he served in the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit. He also was in charge of Computer and Telecommunication Crime while in the Economic Crime Unit of the SAO.
He has served on many committees of the Florida Bar, including the Code and Rules of Evidence Committee and the Juvenile Rules Committee and was the first Chair of the first Computer Crime Committee of the American Bar Association. He has taught judges in many areas of the law including Dependency, Family and Criminal Law. He is currently a Director of the Florida Chapter of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
