Gee also supervises three bureau chiefs, a deputy director, chief financial officer, personnel liaison, the manager of the office of strategic services support, and administrative staff. She oversees the development and maintenance of the division's strategic plan, insuring alignment with the department's strategic goals. Gee has served the Agency for Healthcare Administration since May of 2002. Prior to that, she served the Florida Department of Health as Chief of Bureau Operations within the Division of Medicaid Quality Assurance. Lucy Gee obtained her bachelor's degree from Florida State University in Sociology as well as a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus in Health Planning also from Florida State.
