~ Concerns That The Child May Be In Danger~
GAINESVILLE – The Florida Department of Children and Families is working with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office to find 9-year-old Richard Bryant. DCF had received a court order to locate the child, who may be with his father, Timothy Bryant, age 30.
"We are asking for the public’s help because we believe that Richard may be in danger," explained John Harrell, DCF Northeast Region Public Information Officer. "We are very concerned that we have not been able to locate this child."
DCF and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office went to a home where the Bryants were living on Wednesday night, but were unable to find either the child or his father. Their search continues.
"We are thoroughly and aggressively pursuing any leads regarding the whereabouts of Richard Bryant. We need to determine whether this child is safe. Based on our investigation, we have serious concerns about his safety at this time," said Harrell.
If anyone has any information on where Richard may be, DCF urges them to contact the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office at 352-955-1818.
