DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES UNVEILS NEW LOGO, WEBSITE
~ New efforts emphasize strong families, communities ~

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – The Department of Children and Families today unveiled a new logo designed to stress the importance of community and family strength along with a new website that makes our services more accessible to Floridians. The new agency theme is “My Florida Families” and better shares the Department's mission of keeping families together while protecting the state's most vulnerable children and adults.

This logo was created to be used on signs, buildings, our new website and will also be on new shirts that will identify our child protective investigators around the state.

“These changes will highlight the important work we do with individuals, children and families across Florida,” said Secretary David Wilkins. “Our new website is easier to navigate for those who need help and includes important information about all of our program areas.”

An image of children and adults on the logo are encompassed by the words “Florida Department of Children and Families,” which shows our encouragement and support for Florida’s future. The adults represented in the logo could be parents, relative caregivers or members of the community. They have outstretched arms, providing a sense of warmth and security. The children are depicted as a part of the family and community - comforted and protected.

The new website includes updated features such as a map linking to multiple services individuals or families might need to find in their community, including child care facilities, mental health treatment and community partner locations to apply for assistance.

Visitors to the website will be able to sign up for automatic email and text alerts. Subscribers can choose to be notified about updates and news from specific program areas. The website will also have an interactive online newsroom and videos highlighting special initiatives and events.
